The Hills Have Ears! - Sunset Valley's Best Gossip! #4

One steamy afternoon...

The Hills Have Ears! apologises for the bad photo-quality.
After snapping Krazy Kait with her suspected new squeeze in the early hours of the morning, imagine our surprise when we found her in the arms of old flame Leighton Sekemoto just hours later! Leighton, the Valleys top DJ, seemed a perfect match when he and Mattell were first spotted together in the days after her twins were born. It is suspected that he is the father of the girls, although no official statement has been made, and Leighton has never been spotted with them. We suspect Leighton offered Mattell some behind the scenes fun, as he quickly invited her into the staff only area as their passion became more obvious, although the club was almost empty at the time.
What does this mean for Mattells nanny? Does he know about her trip to the club? Just who exactly is our Krazy Kaity seeing?

You decide: Leighton or Winter?

LOL! JK, I know who you'd all pick already!! ;)

4.18 One Week

"Please don't go." Kaity mumbled between desperate kisses.
"I have to, I should have gone home two weeks ago! I'll be back in a week." He wasn't lying, he needed to go home to sell his apartment and talk to his various bosses. He'd already found a room to rent in Sunset Valley, only a few streets away from Kaity and the kids, too. He'd decided he'd help raise the twins aswell, as they had no male influence at all, and had taken to him well despite the odd start he and Jaydean had had.

"There's a van by that house," he observed, "I think somebody is watching us." A camera flash proved him right, and Kaity let out a little annoyed grunt into his mouth.
"Let them watch, I don't care what they say." She breathed as she ran her hand down his side and round to cup his behind.
"Kaity, I have to go." Winter moaned.
"I know, just making sure you don't forget me."

Winter pulled back a little and looked her in the eye.
"Kaity. I promise, I'm coming back. One week. Seven days. I promise, ok?" Kaity wanted to believe him, she was sure she could trust him, but part of her wouldn't let her fall for it. She'd have to wait a week to find out whether her heart would be made or broken.
"A week." She nodded, before pecking him on the lips quickly and watching him walk down the street and out of her life.

She watched the van pull off and follow him, and pulled out her phone.
"Miss me already?" Winter laughed as he answered.
"No, sorry. You're being followed. Duck into an alley, and wait for them to go past."
"Ok, thank you. See you in a week."
"Yeah, a week." Kaity confirmed half-heartedly as she hung up and went back to bed.

_____

"Kisses!" Kaity demanded as the school bus honked outside. The twins left their plates at the breakfast table and bounded over to where she was waiting by the door.
"Bye mummy!" Jaydean said, kissing her mother as she was told.
"Love you!" Sophie called as she did the same.
"Love you both too, have a great day, stick together, don't go near any boys except Lucas, and make sure you play with him, Liana and Lyris at break, ok?"
"Yes mummy!" The girls sighed in unison."
"Good, now go. I'll see you later."

Kaity waited in the doorway as she watched her two little girls run out the house and down the street to the waiting bus. She couldn't believe they were starting school already.

Retreating back inside, she slumped down onto the couch. It was just herself, Shaena and three babies now. Three babies. Elise. She'd never know her mother.

She scooched over a little, and tried to hold back tears. She didn't want to cry again, it felt like all she'd done for the past two weeks. She had to pick herself up and move on. But how?

Winter. She sighed as she thought of him. He'd only left... three hours and forty-seven minutes ago. She had a whole week to get through before she'd know if he really would come back. I have his number... If he doesn't come back I can- She cut her thoughts off, shaking her head. I wouldn't have the guts to ring him if he didn't come back.

Why? What's different about him? Why do I care about him so much? He's just a random guy, I wouldn't even know he was Autumns father if it weren't for the tufts of blue hair and the genie-thing.

I need to get him off my mind. Get out of this house for a bit, Shae won't mind. But what shall I do?

I need a drink. The Grind.

_____

She'd dressed up with the hope she'd feel a little better, wearing the dress she'd worn at the funeral the day before, and some killer heels. Once she'd arrived at the club and realised it wasn't even 10am yet, she didn't feel much like drinking, so leaned on the bar and looked around the empty club, wondering why the music was blaring if nobody was here.

"Kaity?" She heard a familiar voice call from behind her.
Male. Pretty certain I've heard that voice screaming my name before, too. She thought, turning her head slightly to see. Leighton?! Holy plumbob! What do I do?

She didn't have time to think up a plan of any sort before he rested a comforting arm on her back.
"Hey, I'm sorry about Bonnie, she was a really great girl." Kaity grunted an agreement. She didn't want to talk about Bonnie, and talking to a vampire wasn't going to help, either. "And you, I heard you had surgery?" What could a little small talk hurt?
"Yeah, nothing major, really, just some intestines or something had to be removed."
"Nothing major? That wouldn't be major for me, because I don't need my intestines, but for a fatty, food eater like you, that's pretty major." He tickled her neck slightly, forcing Kaity to smile. He always knew how to cheer her up. "Come on, I don't start work for an hour, come sit and we'll talk?"
"I don't want to talk." She replied, and Leighton looked a little upset. "I want to dance." She grinned as she pulled him over to the abandoned dancefloor.

She wrapped an arm around his neck, and with her back to him, she gyrated her hips to the music, being sure to bump against him at every opportunity. This will cheer me up. She smiled to herself. It already is, just from the thought of what I'm doing to him. She couldn't help but let out a little giggle, and Leighton pulled her closer to whisper in her ear.
"The tabloids are saying you have a boyfriend, I hope you're not cheating?"

Kaity didn't answer, instead deciding to continue her torture to work off the awful feeling she had. Is this guilt? She wondered. Why should I feel guilty? He left me, I'm doing nothing wrong.
"Baby K?" He breathed into her ear, dangerously close as she turned her head to reply.
"No. I'm not cheating." Leighton leaned down to join their lips, and Kaity pulled away, giggling once again. She loved this game. It had been nearly a year since she'd been out like this, and she'd forgotton how much she missed it - even if it wasn't even lunchtime.

"But..." She drew out as she chewed on her lip and wrapped her arms around his neck. "We're not doing anything, you wanted to talk."
"Sometimes I could swear you do this to wind me up." Kaity grinned at his statement, and let him pull her to some nearby seating.

"So who is he?" Leighton asked, pulling Kaity closer with an arm around her neck.
"Who?" She asked, although she knew exactly who.
"Your boyfriend."
"He's not my boyfriend." That much she was sure of. Leighton pulled a face like he didn't believe her. "What?"
"The way you phrased your answer a minute ago. 'I'm not cheating' rather than 'I'm single'. So, I ask again, who is he?"
"He's Autumns father. I met him, well, just over nine months ago. We had a crazy three days, but I don't think he came back for any reason other than Autumn. He's psychic as well, you see-"
"So he can see me with my arm around his girl right now?"
"Leighton! I told you before it doesn't work like that, and I'm not his girl, either."
"So you're single, then?"

"Yes!" She laughed, finally getting through.
"Meaning I can do this-" He leaned in, kissing her lips quickly. "And nobody would say anything?"
"Yes. He's gone home now anyway, I don't think he'll come back."
"He doesn't know what he's missing." He pulled her onto his lap and kissed her again.

She giggled a little at his eagerness before kissing him back. His breath was cool, but warm compared to Winter's. The cold of a vampire was significantly warmer than Winter, but Leighton had something Winter didn't have; fangs.

She playfully ran her tongue along his teeth, being sure to pay close attention to the canines, before withdrawing her tongue, teasing once again.
"Kaity, you can't sit there anymore." he groaned into her mouth. Smiling, she wiggled her bum a little in his lap, causing him to pull out of the kiss and give her a scolding look. "No, really. I have to work here." Kaity giggled and spun herself around, before kneeling before him on the floor.
"Is this better for your reputation, DJ Lazy-Lay?"

"I'm almost certain it's not." Leighton didn't seen to mind, though, and joined their lips once more. This time not taking Kaity's teasing, and instead pricking her tongue with his fang, causing her to moan quietly in pleasure. I forgot how good that felt. She silently admitted to herself as he greedily sucked on her tongue, drawing out droplets of sickly-sweet blood.

Ok, so... What the hell, Gemma? Right? Am I right?
Well... I went there, so it's too late.

Don't forget you can't always trust the press...

The Hills Have Ears! - Sunset Valley's Best Gossip! #3

Kiss and run?

AT around 4am today, just before we went to press, Mattell was spotted in front of her house with her nanny. They were locked in a heated embrace, and oblivious to the gossip-mobile parked across the street. After a few minutes they turned to whispering before kissing one last time as the nanny started off down the road. Mattell didn't offer him a lift to our knowledge, so we assume her children were inside asleep. Unfortunately, the nanny cut through an alley, and by the time we got to the other side by gossip-mobile, he was nowhere to be seen. We had hoped to interview him as this was the first time he has been spotted alone since he arrived.
Do the children know of their mothers saucy affair? What would they think? We will continue to update you on the latest gossip as always.

Oh no, Winter left? Well, you'll have to wait for the next chapter for that ;) There's another article for after the chapter, so I had to post this before and it's very un-spoilery in reality.

The Hills Have Ears! - Sunset Valley's Best Gossip! #2

Krazy in love?

KAITY Mattell attended the funeral of her close friend Bonnie McQueen yesterday afternoon. Of course, we were there to bring you the juiciest gossip, and boy is this juicy! Mattell's nanny, who is still unnamed to public, was cleared of the tragic stabbing on the 25th in a press release the morning after, we couldn't help but think something was up, though, so we made sure to keep our eyes open. It would seem Krazy Kaity's new nanny is also the new man in her life! He has been staying at the residence for the past two weeks, breaking the record for all Mattells previous relationships by doubling it. In our past interviews with ex-flames, they all stated that she was the one who wanted nothing more, and at 22 years old she is yet to have officially had a relationship despite her three children.
Is it possible for our favorite party girl to change her ways? We'll let you know!

4.17 Different Ways

Bonnie's funeral was set to be a small affair. Cocktail dresses and casual suits were the dress code. Only family and friends. As her only blood relative was her father, Cortez, Kaity and Shaena invited their own families. Bonnie had been like a sister, a daughter, an aunt. Their best friend. Their light in the darkness, a voice of reason.

Madison broke down after the service. The whole day reminded her too much of Geoffrey's passing, and the fact they'd only just buried Summer really hit her hard. She would live a lot longer than Geoffrey, and she'd have to watch him die again. Go to his funeral again. How many other lovers would she have in her centuries of existance? How many other close friends would she have to bury?

Taylor comforted her. As her job involved a lot of death and violence, she was more conditioned to these situations. She was upset, but her outlet for grief was to help others grieve in their own ways.

Luis was like his mother, he broke down in Layla's arms, not caring that his children could see.

Liana cried quietly to herself, while her sister Lyris comforted Jaydean.

Rose and Myles couldn't believe what Sophie and Jaydean had seen, and Rose tried to talk to Sophie, to get her to realise that crying was alright. Sophie wasn't a crier. Jaydean was the silly girly one who cried, she was the strong one who told her she was being silly. She didn't tell her she was being silly today. Today it was ok for her to cry.

Lucas had wandered off somewhere. Rose and Myles weren't worried, they knew everyone dealt with grief in different ways.

Jake just closed his eyes and went to a different world in his head.

Cortez huddled himself away. He didn't want to talk. All he had left in the world was his grand-daughter, who he couldn't raise because Bonnie had written a will saying Kaity and Shaena would share custody of Elise should anything happen. He knew the girls would let him see her, but in the space of a week he'd gone from having a girlfriend, a daughter and a grand-daughter filling his house with love and life, to being alone.

Shaena silently played with the flowers and notes scattered over the grave. She blamed herself. Of course she blamed herself, it was her fault Alex was in their lives. She wished she'd listened to Kaity years ago. She wished she'd left him before it was too late. She wished it was her. It should have been her. Alex knew where she'd be, he'd come to the house for her. Bonnie had nothing to do with this, she didn't even know vampires could die from a knife wound, but she'd found that fact out the hard way.

And Kaity cried. She blamed herself too. It was her house, she should have answered the door. A small part of her blamed Winter, too. If he hadn't been there, she would have answered the door. She hated herself for blaming him, because she knew that if he hadn't been there she'd be dead too. She had no doubt in her mind that Alex would have killed Shaena too. He'd have taken Joshua, and she hoped he wouldn't have had the heart to harm her children. She hoped that if this had gone that way, he would have changed, and raised Joshua well.

But the way things turned out, she wished she could get to him and torture him like he deserved.

_____

"Thank you for coming today." Kaity whispered. She hadn't expected Winter to come to the funeral, she hadn't expected him to stay long enough to either. He was supposed to have returned to Bridgeport the day after he'd come to the house, but in his opinion Kaity couldn't have been left alone then. He'd helped with the children a lot, leaving Kaity and Shaena some free time to process their thoughts.

"Don't mention it. I didn't know her, but if she was important to you, she would have been important to me." Kaity sighed at his words, and pulled herself up to sit beside him.
How can he say things like that? He barely knows me, so why would my friends be important to him?

"What's up?" He asked, stroking the base of her neck with his thumb as he wrapped an arm around her.
"You. In the tabloids. I'm sorry about that." She replied, thinking quickly. She wasn't one to talk about her feelings towards him, and she wasn't really sure where they stood. She wasn't about to say something and have him shoot her down.

Winter sighed this time, and gently ran his hand down her arm as he turned himself a little.
"Don't be sorry, it's not your fault that these people have nothing better to do than make up stories about other people. Just ignore them, take it as a compliment that they want to be near you." Kaity shook her head. She knew it had hurt him seeing himself in the papers, especially the article that all but accused him of the stabbing. She was used to it, she didn't even read the papers usually, just threw them straight in the bin, but Winter was used to reading with his breakfast so she'd kept them aside for him, not realising what was written inside.

"I don't care about me. I don't even look at those things, and the kids can't be mentioned, but if you moved here you'd have to get used to it too, and maybe even stop reading the papers..." She wrapped an arm around him, and stroked her hand on his shin.
"Kaity. I think I can stop reading the paper in the morning if it means I get to help raise my son." Kaity almost giggled at how stupid she must've sounded. It was the closest she'd come to laughter in two weeks.

"So you're still moving here?"
"Of course I am!"
"I thought you'd leave tomorrow and never come back."
"Well, you're an idiot then." He accused playfully, kissing her hair and gently tickling her waist and making her fidget.

Lucas, in reality, has dropped off the face of simplanet. I'm hoping it's just in my alternate save, but I don't think he'll be a big part of the story anyway. Just weird.
Sorry about lack of action, needed to start wrapping all that murder stuff up because it's depressing and I have other things to come. This generation is going to be a long one. Chapter 17 and the heir has just been born? (Although there are a few that I read that didn't have a birth at all until they were in their 30's. Some that still haven't at that stage...)

Also, sorry for the weird lighting, that's EA for you, and the odd clothing theme... Yeah, my game would have crashed countless times if I'd gone in and changed their formalwear! So, cocktail dresses it was.

PSYCHO-NANNY?

WE TAKE A LOOK INTO THE DARK SIDE OF THE VALLEY'S BIGGEST PARTY GIRL

AT around 8.30am yesterday morning (Saturday), our sources reported Kaity Mattell welcoming a nanny into her home. Mattell gave birth to a boy (name undisclosed) two weeks ago, earlier reports suggested she was struggling to raise her twin girls of four, and with no father figure in sight (although we have our suspicions over the paternity of her three children) she must have decided a male nanny was for the best.
Our source left the premises around 7.00pm, after an uneventful day where only Mattells friend and employee left the house before returning a few hours later.

About 10.00pm a neighbour alerted us to the police presence at Mattells residence, we sent our on-call reporter to the scene.
"I had expected a drink-driving offence," reporter Jane Lynch states, "I was shocked when paramedics rushed an unconscious Kaity to a waiting ambulance! As best I could tell, she had been stabbed, and there was a sheet laying over what I assumed to be a body.

"I followed the ambulance to Sunset Valley Medical Centre, where I was forced to wait in the reception. After a few agonising hours, I noticed the new nanny enter with Kaity's twins! He was covered in blood, and there is no doubt in my mind that he was right there when Mattell was injured."

It was later confirmed that Mattell was stabbed and a friend killed by an undisclosed suspect. Mattell recieved emergency surgery and is currently recovering in a private ward. A press release is expected by midweek.

Has Kaity hired a murderous nanny? It seems more than coincidence that this mystery man enters the home less than 24 hours before such a major incident. We'll keep you posted on the most up-to-date information.

Remember, Kaity has a gagging-order on the press over her children. They can mention she has them, but can't report anything they do or even their names, which is why the fact Winter was talking to Jaydean was ignored.
Anyway, so most of you already know that I decided to give this generation a third (fourth?) dimension in the form of what the tabloids say about Kaity. She rolled 5 star celeb, which was what led me to this idea, but also it's fun to twist everything that happens and blow it out of proportion ;)
At this point she is at 3.5 stars. I shall keep you all posted on her progress, she has an opportunity to dance at the Grind, and I probably won't feature that given how the story is right now... You never know, though! So, if she suddenly goes out partying, you know why.

4.16 Hurt

Caution: Alot of awful photo-editing.
Very violent. Probably more than is acceptable for PG.

Kaity couldn't sleep. She didn't want to. Sleeping would be admitting to herself that this wasn't a dream, that this really happened. She didn't understand how things could go from perfect to this so quickly. She kept telling herself it was just a vision, but the cuts on her cheek and stomach proved otherwise.

She'd pretended she was asleep when a babies cries sounded over the baby monitor, she couldn't bear to move. Winter must've known, but he'd got up anyway as she'd laid, listening to his soft cooing through the monitor. The memories of the day plaguing her mind and bringing tears once again.

***

Shaena returned home after seeing Alex. Without the baby. Kaity had been worried at first, until Shaena explained she'd not taken Joshua today, she'd gone with other intentions. She looked shaken, but happy for the first time in years.
"What's up?" She'd asked, hoping, praying that she was right.
"I ended it with Alex. For good." Shaena forced a smile, and a tear escaped her eye as Kaity threw her arms around her in a tight hug, jumping around, pulling her off the floor and spinning her. This was the best day of her life, bar two - her kids' births.

"I knew you could do it. I knew you'd see in the end!"
She couldn't help but gush with happiness. Everything was so right. She had three perfect children, two best friends, one of whom had finally listened to her, and Winter was here.

She'd invited Bonnie and her daughter, Elise, over to celebrate and meet Winter, and the alcohol had flowed freely. They ended up infront of the TV in the late evening after the children were all sleeping.

Shaena was drunk. Awfully so. She looked like she might either throw up or break down crying at any moment. Bonnie, unaffected by alcohol due to being a vampire, was gently teasing her about it. Being careful what she said due to the sensitive day their friend had just had. And Kaity just wanted to go upstairs.

His gentle touch on her upper thighs sent chills up and down her body. She'd forgotton just how cold he was, and how good that felt.

Shaena kept attempting to comment on either the TV show or Kaity's state, even though compared to her, Kaity seemed sober. Her words didn't really make it out, they just came out as a slurred jumble, making Bonnie laugh at her even more.

Bonnie wouldn't let up. Her mother had died a little under a week ago, and she'd been a bit down, but she was really on form that night, everything she said made the others giggle or laugh hysterically. Until the doorbell went.
"That'll be the pizza!" She'd chirped, jumping up. "I'll get it, guys. There's no way Shae can stand, and if you tried to get up, Kait, I think your panties would be round your ankles."
She'd left the room laughing as much as the others at her own joke.

Winter had said something about how he hadn't thought vampires ate, and Kaity had explained to him that Bonnie got no benefit from food, she just liked the taste.
Then, a scream.

Kaity and Winter immediately jumped up, and Shaena attempted to herself, but fell back into the seat. Kaity beat Winter to the doorway.

All she could remember, was the fear. She'd never been so scared in her life. She couldn't even react as Alex drew the knife and attacked her. She felt the blade go in deep, and was glad she'd already given birth. He twisted it a little and she couldn't even scream, couldn't even breathe.

And then Winter was there.

He kicked Alex out the way, Alex's flailing arm let the knife catch her cheek as he fell.

She wasn't even sure what Winter did, but a cold air filled the room, and purple sparks flew from his hands, pushing Alex out the door, dragging him out to the porch and bouncing his head off the steps as he was pulled to the ground.

She remembered feeling faint, and weak. So weak. As darkness clouded her vision, all she could see was Bonnie.

She wasn't moving.

***

"It should have been me." She whispered to herself. She couldn't even get tears to form anymore. She didn't want to remember any more, but her mind wouldn't let up.

***

The next thing she could remember was waking up in the hospital. She was confused when Winter was there, and nobody else. She attempted to sit up, but he grabbed her hand, stopping her. She stubbornly propped herself up on her elbows, and felt the painful tug of the stitches in her stomach.

"Bonnie?" She asked, her voice was weak and raspy. Winter sighed, and rested a comforting hand on her arm. He didn't have to say a word. She was gone.

She forced herself to sit up, gritting her teeth through the pain. Winter let her. Tears poured down her cheeks, stinging the cut on her face, and great gasping sobs rocked her body. Winter waited, offering a comforting hand on the small of her back.

"What about the children?" She'd managed to breathe out after a few minutes. She felt sick at the thought of where Alex might be, and didn't want to think about that.

"Shaena rang someone called Taylor-"
"My mummy." Kaity nodded, she'd interrupted him, but only to introduce him to her mother.
"She came and took Alex, then called Madison, who I'm gathering is Shaena's mother. She took the babies, including Elise. The twins insisted on coming here with me."

Fresh tears fell as Kaity realised her two little girls had seen all the blood in the entryway.
"Where's Shae? She's not gone to Alex, has she?" She felt sick just thinking about him, and didn't think she'd survive hearing Shaena had gone to him.
"No. She rode the ambulance with you while I waited with the kids. She's in the waiting area with the twins. We didn't want them to see you like this, and she'd just left your side so I could sit here, when you came to."

Kaity swung her legs over the side of the bed.
"You can't get up, Kaity. You'll pull your stitches."
"Cover for me." She stood, shakily. It really hurt a lot, but she wouldn't admit that.
"You just had surgery! Stay here and I'll get-"
"Cover for me." She snapped as she walked shakily to the waiting room.

Her daughters shell-shocked faces hit her as hard as Shaena's relieved sobs when she saw her.
"Mummy..." Sophie started, she had no words. Nobody did.

"I'm ok, baby." She was crying again. She wasn't sure she'd stopped. She crouched low, ignoring the pain, and pulled her girls into a tight hug. "I'm sorry you had to see that. You never should have seen that, you should never see anything like that. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you." She felt the twins join her as they shook with tears too.

"It will be ok." Jaydean had said as the hug ended, wiping her own tears before her sisters and then her mothers. It only served to make Kaity cry more. Her two baby girls had seen more than anyone should ever see, before they'd even started school, but they were strong. They wouldn't let this taint whatever memories they had of Bonnie, and she wouldn't either.

"I'm so glad you're ok." Was all Shaena could say as they threw their arms around each other. They held each other for a few minutes, just crying, until Winter had pulled her back to the cubicle for a doctor.

***

She was sobbing loudly now. Each vibration tugging at her stitches, reminding her this was real. She was gone and she wasn't coming back.

Winter finished with the baby, and returned to her side. He gently turned her around before wrapping his arms around her.

She could do this. She could move on. If Winter was going to be here, she could be happy again. Not now, not for a while, but it could happen.

I wrote this chapter listening to Johnny Cash if anyone wanted to know. The chapter is named after the first (and best) song in that video, 'Hurt'. <3 :'(
